At QSpaces, we specialize in high-quality glass and solid walls for offices. Our team consists of experienced specialists who have been active in the partition wall market for decades. We are committed to quality, sustainability, and innovation.
The wall and door elements from QSpaces are manufactured to the highest quality standards in our own factory in the Netherlands. Our glass walls are fully circular. This means that every component can be reused indefinitely, with minimal loss of raw materials and quality. QSpaces does not use environmentally harmful materials and produces with minimal energy and water consumption, making our production process sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Choose QSpaces and invest in a future where aesthetics and sustainability go hand in hand. Discover our solutions and benefit from the advantages of high-quality partition wall systems.
Careful acoustic planning is crucial for the comfort and functionality of modern work environments. Two key areas are distinguished: building acoustics and room acoustics.
Building acoustics deals with sound transmission between different rooms. For partition walls, the rated sound insulation value Rw,P is often specified.
Important: The specified value may refer only to the glass or to the entire partition wall system – this makes a big difference. In practice, other factors influence the overall sound insulation of the system, especially:
Therefore, the rated sound insulation value Rw,P (measured in the laboratory) should be at least 5 dB higher than the value required for the intended purpose. These aspects must be taken into account in acoustic planning to transfer laboratory values as best as possible into practice.
In contrast to building acoustics, room acoustics deals with the sound behavior within a room. Here,
reverberation time and speech intelligibility are the focus.
Glass walls and smooth surfaces strongly reflect sound – this can lead to unpleasant reverberation and
limited communication. To counteract this, acoustic absorbers are used. They specifically improve the
reverberation time.
Low frequencies are particularly difficult to treat, as they can only be effectively reduced with thick
absorbers. Flat absorbers are only effective for higher frequencies. A well-thought-out combination
of different acoustic elements is therefore crucial for pleasant room acoustics.
